Marcel Sassola

Marcel Sassola is the CEO of Santa Barbara Specialty Pharmacy (SBSP), a home infusion/specialty pharmacy based in Santa Barbara County, California. With more than 35 years experience as a licensed pharmacist and entrepreneur, and a dedicated staff of 15 healthcare professionals, SBSP services all of California, as well as five other states, with a focus on Allergy/Immunology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Bleeding Disorders and other chronic conditions. Mr. Sassola is also a partner in Evolutionary Pharmacy Solutions, based in Dallas, Texas.

Since graduating from Purdue University in 1983 with a BS in Pharmacy, Mr. Sassola has worked with Roche Laboratories as a Business Development Manager, with two home infusion companies as Pharmacy Manager, as President of On Call Pharmacist (a regional medical staffing and permanent placement agency) and as CEO of Intravenous Therapy Services, Inc. (a regional home infusion/specialty pharmacy). In 2006, ITS was acquired by BioScrip, Inc., but Mr. Sassola stayed on as President of the Western Division for two years and saw the company through a successful transition before laying the groundwork for Santa Barbara Specialty Pharmacy.

Mr. Sassola currently lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife Keri, and their three children, Anthony, Parker and Isabella. He is active in his community, holding several board positions, including the Providence St. Joseph’s Leadership Board for the Stroke Center in Burbank. Mr. Sassola is also a member of Lakeside Golf Club in Los Angeles, La Cumbre Country Club in Santa Barbara, and Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena. 

Cindy Dustman

Cindy Dustman is the Office Manager for Santa Barbara Specialty Pharmacy. She ensures that the office runs smoothly and contacts patients to welcome them to our pharmacy, confirm supplies needed, coordinate deliveries, and arrange nursing visits. Prior to joining Santa Barbara Specialty Pharmacy, Mrs. Dustman worked as a Patient Service Representative for Coram Specialty Infusion. She lives in Santa Barbara with her husband and her Siamese cat, Woobie. In her leisure time she enjoys dancing, boating and horseback riding.
